I have had a fantastic experience at Kenshukai Karate with Sensei Dmitriy. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher who really helped develop my skills over the last 6 months. I fully recommend anyone looking to learn to go see him.

Dear Eddie, thank you for the delivery of the sessions. Your enthusiasm did not wane even by the end of the day. The children found it fun, exciting and exhilarating.

Oliver enjoys attending karate with Sensei Eddie at his school. It has been extremely beneficial for Oliver (who is dyslexic and not very sporty) to learn a skill that helps him keep fit and to become more confident. He enjoys getting to the next level and being rewarded with the next coloured belt.

I have learnt and improved so much since I first started Eddie's class when I was in Year 1 (2012). I have become stronger and more confident and feel I can defend myself. The classes have kept me fit and I love the sparring. Thank you Eddie for taking extra time to support me in getting my brown belt: that was a proud moment and a big achievement.

No matter how long the road is to your goals and dreams, never give up. It will all be worth it in the end. On 26th January 2009 I did my first karate class and swore I wouldn't stop training until I got my black belt. Even though it took me 9 and a half years, 2 knee surgeries and lots of sweat, tears and some blood (literally), I finally received my black belt today. Massive thanks to all the senior sensei at Kenshukai Karate, especially Sensei Eddie Bitton who has been my main senior since day 1, all the more experienced instructors who pushed and encouraged me to keep going, all the friends and rivals I've made in the club who always challenge me to try harder, and all the kids I have taught who have kept me on my toes. Thank you Kenshukai Karate, you have been amazing.

My son was a bit upset last night after you explained he had some more work to do before his grading, so I offered to buy him a green belt (as a joke). He replied, seriously, "No daddy, you can't, I won't have earned it." It is good to see that he is growing up with an understanding of the value of achievement. He is now working hard to attain the standard you demand. It proves to me (again) that karate is less about combat and more about personal development and character building.

Kirk on the way home last night: "Mum, karate was so much fun tonight and I have learned so much. I wish the class went on for longer." He then demonstrated all the blocking moves you were teaching them. He was also very pleased with Saturday's class, Sensei Mohan had him demonstrating moves to the class. Great for his confidence.

My son and I have been with Kenshukai since October 2010, my son was 5 years old when we started. We have found it very friendly and sensible, we even got introduced to the different instructors, everyone was friendly and helpful. My son likes to ask a lot of questions and no instructor ever rejected any of his questions regarding his karate. Even after the lesson our Sensei will stay a bit longer to talk to us in case we require any help. It has been a real pleasure joining Kenshukai as it has taught us confidence and self defence and, most importantly, believing in ourselves.

I started karate because I thought, "Well, I'll give it a go", and now it's so fun I wish I could do it every day. I've learnt a lot and I like sparring. I learn self defence and other great things. The things I like the most are kicks, strikes and stances.

Doing karate has brought me closer to my son. We have developed a shared interest and it has boosted his confidence to be able to teach me when I am going wrong. Karate has helped me maintain my all round fitness by stimulating both my body and my brain. Kenshukai is like a family: we help each other to develop and progress, we share each other's success and support in times of struggle. Kenshukai helped me to realise that it is never too late to learn new skills and strive for new ambitions. I will reach my black belt before I am 50!
